This is not just another transcription site! If you are looking for a safe haven to express your views, this is your new home. If you enjoy starting fights, bashing other posters or bashing as opposed to critiquing, spreading untruths or enjoy discouraging new MTs, this site is NOT for you! Differing opinions on any subject are welcome here but flaming is not tolerated. Vulgarity will not be tolerated.

All posts violating the guidelines are subject to deletion at our discretion.

If you have a complaint or concern about posts/deletions on the forum, other posters on the forum, or the PTTM Forum in general, do not post about it in the forum, e-mail the administrator/founder. All such posts will be deleted.

Repeat Offenders of our rules will lose their posting privileges without notice.

Don't post in ALL CAPS (capital letters). Posting in all caps makes your message harder to read (thereby causing some people to skip it entirely), and some people consider it akin to shouting. This goes for Subject lines, too. So unless you have good reason to shout, keep to the lower case.

Do not start new topics (threads) without checking the board first to see if a topic on the same issue has already been started. If it has, place your post under that topic asa reply. This way relevant threads will stay on the first page longer instead of being pushed off the page by repetitive posts.

Keep your language clean. Remember, people of all ages can access this community. Messages containing obscene, vulgar, offensive or abusive language or acronyms of such language will be removed without notice.

We strongly discourage bashing. Remember, If you must rant and rage about something somebody else has posted or are just having a bad day or need to vent, please do it on the MT RANT board.

Remember that other posters, and especially new graduates and new MTs, are real people too. Constructive criticisims welcome, taking pot-shots is not. Sharing your own negative experiences is one thing, assuming everyone else will have the same experience is not realistic.

Petitions! Do not use the forum to promote petitions of any kind.

ABSOLUTELY NO FLAMING! We are all part of the MT industry here and treat each other in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect! Follow the Golden Rule. When posting, treat others as you'd like to be treated -- don't be insulting, don't question other's intelligence and sanity just because their view may differ from yours, and don't harass others. Watch your tone! Everyone who posts on this board is a real person, just like you. If you have a personal dispute with another poster, take it elsewhere. If you have the misfortune of being flamed, DON'T respond by flaming back. Give that post a THUMBS DOWN, and notify management via email. Differing opinions are welcome here. However, NO flaming of other posters will be tolerated. Repeat offenders will lose their membership to this site.

Respect other Websites! Do not copy and paste information, text, pictures, etc., directly from other websites to our forum. All such posts violate copyright and will be deleted. The same rule applies to text from member posts on our site as well as administration postings. Do not copy them to other sites without permission from the authors of such text. Violators will be banned.

NO SPAM, NO ADVERTISING, NO TROLLING FOR MEMBERS! Advertising of any kind is not allowed on the message boards. This means no advertising for other sites on the internet, no posting links to or discussing other sites on our board without permission from administration unless it is on our links page. If you know of a site that would be of interest to PTTM posters, e-mail me and I will consider adding the link to one of our links pages, but do not advertise such sites on our board. All such posts will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Do not ask our members to email you or offer to email another member in an attempt to get around our rules!
Do NOT email our members in an effort to get them to join your site or newsletter list.

We rely on our members to help us keep PTTM a kinder gentler site. We cannot possibly read or catch every problem post in the forum. We encourage you to not respond directly to such posts, but to instead report inappropriate posts to MissyC.

Finally, if you speak badly of this site or its members here or elsewhere, don't expect to be welcome here. This is our home; membership here is a privilege, not a right.
